CHECKLIST OF ITEMS TO BRING DAY 1
ELECTRONICS We sometimes have an activities where girls may a phone or electronic device for some research. if a girl uses her phone for texting, etc during non-electronics time, I will collect it & return it to her at the end of the day. We cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items.
WHAT TO WEAR - During hot weather, I relax the closed toed shoes requirement, but no flimsy flip flops. The girls can wear their sash or vest if they would like to. Uniform not required. There is AC, so if they get chilled when the AC is on send a light sweater.
SAVE THE DATE FINAL SESSION – March 8 - 4- 4:30
During the workshops, the girls will create a written plan the Take Action Project . The final steps involving reaching out to the community will be completed after the workshop under troop or parent supervision. Therefore,March 8 - 4- 4:30 a troop leader or parent from each troop is to learn tips for project follow up & going on to Silver. If you have any questions about this please email me.
PICKUP - DROP OFF Sessions are held from 1 - 4:30. Please arrive at least 5 minutes early & pick up on time. If your troop leader isn’t attending & girls are coming in separate cars, please designate a troop parent wait until the whole troop is picked up.

- A bag - plastic or spill resistant reusable. The girls will be making non-toxic cleaners to take home. They may be too messy for a backpack.
- Breathe Book If you purchased one from me, it will be provided to you day 1.
- Water bottle with name on it.
- A small backpack or bag to store your book, jacket, water bottle etc

1. Research the type of cleaners being used in their house or school. (Ask parents for help before looking at cleaners) Page 70 of their book.
2. Advocate for clean air ! This is practice for the Advocacy (teaching & persuading others ) part of your Take Action Project
a. Tell your family something you learned about indoor air quality or non toxic cleaners. Clean something in your own house using your cleaners. Report back what you cleaned.
b. Give away the extra bottle of non- toxic cleaner to a non-family member & educate them on why they should use it. *
2. Start to pay attention to news or info about the environment.
3. Spend some time outside every day. Complete one or more entries in your air log.

4. The girls should wear something comfortable. We will have a mini yoga class. If they have yoga mats, they can bring them, but it isn’t required. If they don't have one, they can bring a towel.
