Between session # 1 & 2  Preparation before Sunday Nov 10

  • Bring symbol of friendship to show in small groups.
  • Look over chapters 1 – 2 in book 
  • Complete page 11 – fill out who those people are in your life & friends where you play that role,
  • Complete quizzes
  • Take note of self-talk. page 25.   Notice positive & negative things you find yourself saying. Each will share one – take note of overall ratio.
  • Take notice or think about things you say to other people.
In addition each week, please bring
·         Mission Sisterhood book
·         Water bottle with name on it.
·         A small backpack or bag to store  stuff when it is not in use.

Preparation for Day 3 Sunday, Nov. 17

  • Read chapters 3 -4
    Glance at project planner page 68 – 77. 
    If you need ideas, you can review the project samples & topics in the book, the videos on the workshops4girls YouTube channel,  Mission Sisterhood pages on this website our YouTube playlist or the Pinterest page.  Website
  • Narrow down to a couple of issues you might want to choose for your Take Action Project.​

Day 3 follow up -

Preparation for Day 4​ Dec 8 (Final session)

Between the sessions, the girls were asked to:
•     Read chapter 5 & pages 68 – 77 (project planner).
  • COMPLETE TAKE ACTION PROJECT PLANNING PAPER – SEND Finalized plan to me no later than 5 PM Saturday Dec 15. (earlier is better, so you have time to adjust it based on my feedback) You can email/text me a copy if you use the paper copy or share it as a google doc. 
  • ​​Bring a hard copy version with you to the final session.  You will give it to your parent or troop leader to review.
  • For resources to help you fill it out go to this link.  It contains two guides. One that explains what I am looking for in the questions.  The other is a "sample" filled out plan, that illustrates the level of detail.   You can also include info from your answers in the book project planner.
  • Check your email or doc for feedback after you send it, Use feedback to adjust your plan prior based on my feedback.
  • ELEVATOR SPEECH - Practice your individual “elevator speech” to be ready to give it to an adult. You can use the prompt paper I gave you (see below for questions) or the Take Action Statement page 71 of your Mission Sisterhood book.

 NO NAMES OR TROOP NUMBERS in videos if you want me to share them
There should be no identifying information; troop number, names ,schools, etc. in any videos if they want to post to the Workshops4girls YouTube Channel.  The photo release that your parents  signed promises anonymity.
