Each Girl Scout will leave our Take Action Award series with a well-developed plan for a Take Action Project (to be carried out after the series ends). Note: The Take Action Award begins with earning a badge of their choice. If the Cadette has not completed the badge prior to the session, they will have to complete it before carrying out their Take Action Award Project. In the prework for this session, they will choose the badge. Find a list of Cadette badges here. |
Completing a Take Action Award is excellent preparation for the Silver Award because it follows the same process on a smaller scale. It’s the only one of the new GSUSA Awards that emphasizes identifying root causes and using them to shape your plan.
All Workshops4girls programs are facilitated by experienced Girl Scout Highest Award experts (Bronze, Silver, and Gold). The programs prioritize the development of skills that contribute directly to the achievement of impactful and successful Silver Awards. |
What do Cadettes who completed Virtual Workshops4girls programs have to say about their experience?

This program helped me a lot. It showed me how I could plan for my Silver Award and I enjoyed learning about different topics so I could potentially use them in my Silver. My favorite part of this program was working with the two other girls in my troop with the Take Action project. I also liked meeting new girls from different troops. |
This session was fun and helpful in getting me prepared for my Silver Award project. The workshop was helpful because it helped me learn about the many ways to improve others’ lives and contribute to our communities. |
I am going to tell my friend to join a session because it is very helpful and will get her the helping hand that she would need. |
