Prepare for the Gold Award while earning the new GSUSA Take Action Award. This series builds your confidence and strengthens your project-planning skills by using badge work* as a springboard for taking action. Take Action projects are the basis of the Highest Awards.
Each Girl Scout will leave our Take Action Award series with a well-developed plan for a Take Action Project (to be carried out after the series ends). Note: The Take Action Award begins with earning a badge of their choice, so it is highly recommended that they complete the badge first. If a Girl Scout has not finished the badge before the session, she will need to complete it before carrying out her Take Action Award project. During the prework for this session, she will discuss her badge, so please decide in advance. Find a list of Senior badges here. Find a list of Ambassador badges here. |
Completing a Take Action Award provides valuable preparation for the Gold Award since it follows the same process on a smaller scale. It’s the only one of the new GSUSA Awards that emphasizes identifying root causes and using them to shape your plan.
All Workshops4girls programs are facilitated by experienced Girl Scout Highest Award experts (Bronze, Silver, and Gold). The programs prioritize the development of skills that contribute directly to the achievement of impactful and successful Gold Awards. |
What do Seniors & Ambassadors who completed Virtual Workshops4girls programs have to say about their experience?

I gained new insight on how to be more proactive in the community realistically. I enjoyed hearing from the guest speakers about their experiences and advice of what they have for a successful project. |
My favorite part of the series was planning out new projects, as it helped me explore and learn about the diversity of Take Action Projects we can make to help our communities. It was a great experience and offers lot of resources you would not have if you completed the award on your own. |
I would tell a friend that this is a great way to create a take action project. I already recommended it to my troop. I really liked getting personized feedback on my project plan. I learned how to choose a Gold Award topic that I’m passionate about and how to actually start my Gold Award. |
