True North Award! Workshop for Cadettes
Build Confidence by achieving your goals!
Coming in 2026
Cadette Girl Scouts will strengthen their personal leadership skills as they work toward earning the new GSUSA True North Award. During this two-day virtual workshop, Girl Scout Cadettes will gain confidence while exploring what matters most to them and learning how to stay true to themselves. Meanwhile, Girl Scout Cadettes will develop a plan to take meaningful action toward one of their own goals—focusing on goals that help prepare them to earn their Silver Award.

Completing a True North Award offers valuable preparation for the Silver Award by guiding Cadettes through self-reflection on their core values and supporting them in developing a plan to achieve personal goals. This process equips them with the skills necessary to effectively identify and address community issues when selecting a focus for their Silver Award project.

All Workshops4girls programs are facilitated by experienced Girl Scout Highest Award experts (Bronze, Silver, and Gold).
The programs prioritize the development of skills that contribute directly to the achievement of impactful and successful Silver Awards. |

I think that the overall program was wonderful and I am very happy with everything I learned. I learned how to stand up for yourself, be honest, and accept each other for who they are. |
My favorite part of this program was working with the two other girls in my troop with the Take Action project. I also liked meeting new girls from different troops. I learned leadership skills, as well as things like elevator speeches. |
