Filling Out your Proposal
GET FEEDBACK

Attend a GSOC Gold Award Project Proposal Meetings (Informal) with GSOC interviewers. Make revisions based on their feedback, if necessary. It is not required, but I highly recommend that you attend one of these meetings. It can be a key to getting your project approved sooner !! It is an opportunity to present your plan to members of the Girl Scout Gold Award Support Team (The people who do the Gold approval interviews) in an informal setting. The meetings are designed for girls who have an idea of what they would like to do for their Gold. You don't have a plan before attending, but it helps. The team will help you to evaluate your project to see whether you are ready for your interview, whether your plan is Gold Award caliber and if it’s not quite there yet, to give feedback to help you figure out how to get it there. You can attend more than once if you learn that your idea isn't on the right track.

The Interview - What to expect
On the interview date, arrive prepared to "pitch" your project to a member of the committee. They will be interested in knowing how you chose the project, why it is important, how you will make a sustainable difference. They will be looking for passion and enthusiasm for your project. They don't have a set list of questions, it will depend upon who is doing your interview, but here are a few they might ask:
