AMAZE  series for Cadettes grades 6-8  Click here for current schedule  &  registration deadlines.
Navigating relationships is one of the biggest challenges Girl Scout Cadettes face. This Virtual Amaze journey experience will supply your scouts with tools to strengthen friendships, resist peer pressure and resolve conflicts.

By the end of our 4 Amaze workshops, each girl will have a well-developed plan for a Take-Action Project (to be carried out after the series ends). Your scouts will also leave equipped with knowledge and skills that will prepare them to create strong Silver Awards.

Amaze  Elevator Speeches

An essential skill for Take Action Projects is the ability to describe what your plans in a clear & concise manner.
Hello, my name is Ella
The issue I’ve chosen for my Journey Take Action Project is: Bullying
I plan  to make a PowerPoint presentation or speech on  bullying
The reason this issue is important to me is:
- these issues impact us on a daily basis, and in order to create a more economically and moral community, it is important to discuss these topics.
The steps I will take to complete my project are:
1. Make a PowerPoint
2. Research my topic
3. Develop my speech
4. Make the speech and send it to others
The result I hope to have is:
To influence others into being kinder and more ethical people when interacting with others.

Hello, my name is Kaili

The issue I’ve chosen for my Journey Take Action Project is: Peer pressure.
The reason this issue is important to me is:
I hope to educate new middle schoolers about what to avoid and what to expect.
The steps I will take to complete my project are:
Find a location to meet with new cadettes, teach them about peer pressure by making a slide show and make a video on what to do and avoid peer pressure.
The result I hope to have is:
New cadettes are prepared and ready for middle school. I hope that they can be aware of things that aren’t good or healthy.

Hello, my name is Anna
The issue I’ve chosen for my Journey Take Action Project is peer pressure
The reason this issue is important to me is because I see this happening around school and in my community the most often.
The steps I will take to complete my project are to first interview/survey people who have been victims of this problem or bystanders, and with the information gathered, make a website, later on presenting it with the other girl scout troops.
The result I hope to have is a pre and post project feedback from the girl scouts through a short survey or a mini quiz about what they learned and have my website shared with over 30 people.

Hello, my name is Aarna
The issue I’ve chosen for my Journey Take Action Project is: Bullying
The reason this issue is important to me is because i was bullied in second grade without even knowing it. I don’t want any other kid to go through that.
The steps I will take to complete my project are to first create the script, scenarios for the activities, and powerpoints for the sessions. Then, I will host 2-3 zoom meetings for girls from brownies to juniors.
The result I hope to have is to let girls know that there is something they can do about bullying and not to stand by it.

Hello, my name is Madison
The issue I’ve chosen for my Journey Take Action Project is conflict resolution
The reason this issue is important to me is because many people in the world go through conflict everyday in their lives. It exists because people can’t agree with each other. I want to help resolve it so people can agree with each other and grow stronger relationships from this.
The steps I will take to complete my project is researching more about conflict resolution, making an informational guide and then sharing it to other troops and some of my friends.
The result I hope to have is that people will be able to agree more with each other even if they do not like the idea that much.

 Hello, my name is Charu
The issue I’ve chosen for my Journey Take Action Project is: Cyberbullying and Cliques
The reason this issue is important to me is:
because we feel like it is very common today and we wanted to do something about it.
The steps I will take to complete my project are:
Create a video to explain the issue and a google slide presentation to explain further. Then, we will create a zoom meeting with 2-4 groups of fifteen girls.
The result I hope to have is:
To educate young girls about cliques and cyberbullying while they have fun.

For her AMaze Journey Take Action project, this Cadette created a bookmark to distribute to all the students at her school during red ribbon week (the theme for the week was YOLO). She also helped the coordinators of the event by helping to run lunch time activities revolving around standing up for your friends.

The AMAZE journey is all about getting along.  It also encourages girls to stand up for others when they are the witness to bullying or unkind behavior.  In this AMAZE Take Action Project Video the girls show the right way to stand up for your friends.
