Our Journey series goes beyond award requirements, featuring:

- Expert Insights: Informational visits from the Workshops4girls Mentoring Team, including current Gold Award Girl Scouts in high school, college, and beyond.
- Project Planning: You will create a detailed Take Action project plan and receive implementation tips including timelines, marketing, and troubleshooting.
- Gold Award Focus: The final session is dedicated to exploring Gold Award resources, with a highlight being our popular Workshops4girls Mentoring Team panel. Hear directly from Scouts who are currently earning their Gold Award or have already achieved it—they’ll share their experiences, answer your questions, and offer invaluable tips for both the Gold Award and Take Action projects.
Gold Award Planning Workshop
If you have developed your Gold Award idea but are finding the proposal process daunting, this series is designed for you. Seniors and Ambassadors (Grades 9-12) will receive guidance on crafting a comprehensive written Gold Award Project Proposal. Participants will establish a personal timeline aligned with their Girl Scout Council’s deadlines and procedures. The sessions will provide direction on progressing from initial concepts to a detailed proposal using SMART planning strategies. Attendees will also learn how to navigate the GSUSA GoGold online portal.
Troop/Group Advisors who are new to the process are encouraged to attend alongside their Girl Scouts.

True North Girl Scout Award: Your Journey to Leadership Begins Here
Leadership isn’t built in a day—it starts with a single step. Whether your GSUSA True North Award goal is to join a club, lead a team, land a job, make new friends, learn a skill, or work towards the Gold Award award, every big achievement begins with small, intentional actions. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to create a thoughtful, step-by-step plan to turn your aspirations into reality. If the Gold Award is your dream, you’ll also discover what it takes to reach it and how to make your vision a success. Our True North series goes beyond award requirements. The second session is dedicated to exploring Gold Award resources, with a highlight being our popular Workshops4girls Mentoring Team panel. Hear directly from Scouts who are currently earning their Gold Award or have already achieved it—they’ll share their experiences, answer your questions, and offer invaluable tips for your True North personal challenge and the Gold Award, too. For Girl Scout Senior & Ambassadors, Grades 9-12 Fee $60.00 includes two virtual workshops. (Award pin not included.) Cadette Girl Scouts will strengthen their personal leadership skills as they work toward earning the new GSUSA True North Award. During this two-day virtual workshop, Girl Scout Cadettes will gain confidence while exploring what matters most to them and learning how to stay true to themselves. Meanwhile, Girl Scout Juniors will develop a plan to take meaningful action toward one of their own goals—focusing on goals that help prepare them to earn their Silver Award.

To maximize their time, it is suggested that Cadettes identify a general theme for their Silver Award before attending the workshop. This session is for Cadettes grades 6-8, with a parent or troop leader encouraged to participate. * We’ll share practical advice on time management and keeping motivation high. Note: This does not replace any Silver Award training offered by your council. It is designed for Girl Scouts who are ready to start their project plan.

True North Award for Juniors Grades 4-5 |
Junior Girl Scouts will build their personal leadership as they earn the new GSUSA True North Award. This virtual workshop will supply Girl Scout Juniors with an abundance of confidence as they explore what matters most and how to stay true to themselves. Juniors will create a plan to take meaningful action towards one of their own goals even though it might feel a little hard or scary.
