If you want the girls to have a positive and effective experience with Journeys. This is the route to do it. Their approach also sets the girls up to effectively identify issues, plan and execute to earn their Silver Award.

Our Troop has done Junior and Cadette Journeys with Katie.  She is fantastic!  She knows how to relate to the girls and keep them interested.  She is smart and very well organized and has become a mentor to me as a Troop Leader.  Our Troop is currently working on our Silver Projects.  We used Katie’s “Take Action” template to help the girls create their project plans and track their progress.  She also gave our girls feedback on their plans.  She knows how to ask the right questions to help the girls make the leap from “idea” to “take action project.”  Thank you Katie!  We look forward to attending more Journey sessions with Katie to prepare for the Gold Projects in high school.   ​

You guys did an amazing job. Communication was spot on. Getting the girls to come along with leaders they have never met was impressive to see. You guys are very professional and we appreciate the fact that you are willing to take on a CO troop! Thank you for all your time and energy during the sessions and in-between!

​What an amazing experience it is. The girls have such thoughtful and engaging discussions and it really pushes the girls to do the best work that they can in a safe place. And the leaders even have a few take aways!

I was very pleased to find your website! I loved the girl’s Take Action Projects that you have on there. Our troop is not very journey or badge motivated. So she does most of that on her own. She will have a very good base to get her take action project taken care of after the journey work. I’m relieved I don’t have to get her through a journey on her own. She needs to finish her gold by the end of her junior year. She’s in a very academic program at school and will not have time for it her senior year at all.

Our troop is very fortunate to have found Katie. When I have issues I cannot solve, Katie is always there giving me great advice and helping me resolve my issues. I highly recommend Ms. Katie Anderson because she has a great journey class, great customer service, and above all, she is passionate and genuinely cares for the girls.  I know you will feel the same once you have taken her workshops!

      Juniors  ​

 The Amuse journey was my favorite virtual experience of 2020!

Starting 5th grade was hard. I felt that I had no power. One thing that I have learned is that women can speak up. I learned to stand up for myself.  ​

My favorite part was how I got to meet a bunch of new friends.​

My favorite part of the journey was how we were quickly placed into groups to create such beautiful projects. The speed of it all was really nice because it proved how quickly we can get stuff done.​

​The experience helped me become more aware of topics of my interest and included a step-by-step layout to aid me in successfully completing my journey as well as my Gold Award.

I learned how to speak more persuasively and practiced better ways to build my presentation skills.

I learned how to plan out and dig deeper in order to do my gold award. I also learned how to effectively make an elevator speech that covers key topics of my project.
